It was an all host battle between the Colorado Yeti South '03 and the Colorado Yeti North Major to claim in-house bragging rights and the 2017 Yeti Classic Championship on the campus of the University of Colorado on Sunday afternoon.  Adam Colton got things started for the Yeti South with a power play goal just over seven minutes in, only to have Christian Howanitz (1G, 1A) answer back for the Yeti North toward the end of the first to tie it up at 1-1.

     After a scoreless second period, the Yeti South would score two consecutive goals 43 seconds apart to give them the lead for good.  Luke Juergensen (1G, 1A) gave them the lead at 2-1, and Elias Doherty (1G, 1A) would score the game winner moments later to help the Yeti South '03 pull out the 3-2 Championship victory.  Elias Doherty (3G, 3A) led the South in scoring throughout the tourney and goaltender Colin Gallamore  (4-1, 1.39 GAA, .933 SV%, 1 SO) was brilliant between the pipes.
