High School Red tries to remain on top of the AYHL HS standings as they take on the White squad

The Arapahoe Summer League High School division heated up with a showdown between the White squad and the league leading Red team at Family Sports on Saturday morning.

Red came out firing on all cylinders, thanks in large part to their leading scorer Elijah Kendall (5G, 1A) scoring the first two goals of the game to give them a 2-0 lead midway through the first period. White would bounce back with back to back goals of their own, first by Jack Hamilton in the first period, and followed by Matthew Taylor's goal to tie it at 2-2 just half a minute into the second period.

Kendall would strike again with a score to give him the hat trick, as Red took the lead again at 3-2, only to have White's leading scorer Jackson Siegrist (1G, 1A) answer back on a shorthanded goal to tie it once again at 3-3.

From there it would be all Red, as they would close the game out with four straight goals, including three in the third period, to pull away from the White team with a 7-3 victory.
